Shane has been busy rehearsing with the legendary English Folk Band Brass Monkey, as he joins them on their very special tour in April and festivals during the summer which celebrates their 30th anniversary. Shane will be performing in a series of concerts throughout February with The London Concert Orchestra to celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Shane's first engagement in 2012 will be a trumpet and organ recital at St. Martin-in-the-Fields (Organist - Oliver King). This will take place on 2nd January at 1pm and will feature music by Albinoni, Flor Peeters and Neruda.

On 7th and 8th November, Shane will be at Pinewood Studios filming a scene for 'Snow White And The Huntsman'. This is an upcoming fantasy adventure film directed by Rupert Sanders due for release on 1st June 2012 in the United States. The film stars Kristen Stewart (Snow White), Charlize Theron (Evil Queen) and Chris Hemsworth (Huntsman). Click on the link for more information about the film Snow White And The Huntsman

On 4 October, Shane performed fanfares to welcome celebrities and guests down the red carpet to 'The Three Musketeers' film premiere at Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherd's Bush. A new 'Ceremonial Music' page has been added to Shane's website. Here you can find everything you need to know about performances at weddings, funerals, graduations etc. Shane has also added a new recording of the first movement of Albinoni's Concerto in D Minor (originally for oboe). This version is performed on the piccolo trumpet, accompanied by Oliver King on the organ. Please go to the 'Listen' page to hear this and many other recordings.

On 23rd June, Shane performed at Cambridge University with Triumph Brass at the Honorary Degree Ceremony. Among the illustrious figures who recieved honorary degrees from the university were theatre director Sir Trevor Nunn, the university's former Vice-Chancellor Dame Alison Richard and conductor Sir Colin Davies. This event also marked Prince Philip's final engagement as Chancellor.

On Friday 9 July, Shane graduated from The Royal College of Music. He was also awarded the Herbert Samuel Memorial Prize for Trumpet.
